Soil concentration units

1 cm3 = 1 ml (milli litre)

1 dm3 = 1 litre

1000 dm3 or 1000 litre = 1 m3

1000 ml or 1000 cm3 = 1 dm3 or 1 litre

y % = ( y x 10 000) ppm

y ppm = ( y / 10 000) %

Y % = Y g/100g

Y ppt ( parts per thousand) = Y g/kg or Y g/1000g

Y % = ( Y x 10 ) ppt

Y ppt = ( Y / 10) %

Y ppm = Y mg/kg

Y ppm = Y ug/g = Y microgram/gram

Y ppm = Y ug/ml

Y ppm = Y mg/litre

Y ppm = ( 2 x Y ) ibs/acre ( pounds/acre )

Y ppm = Y g / 1000 kg

Y ppm = Y g/metric tonnes

Y kg/ha = ( Y / 1 000 ) metric tonnes /ha

Y ibs/acre = ( Y / 2 ) ppm

Y ibs/acre = ( 1.12 x Y) kg/ha

Y kg/ha = ( Y / 1.12 ) ibs/acre.

Molality = moles of solute / kg of solution.

Equivalent weight (mg/meq) = ( molar mass / valency ) ( this is a guess formular, not very precise but simple to understand.)
Gram equivalent weight = mass in gram / equivalent weight

Milli equivalent weight = mass in mg / equivalent weight

Milli equivalent weight = ( mass in gram /equivalent weight) x 1000

Y ppm = ( ( Y x 0.1) / equivalent weight) meq/100g (milliequivalent/100g)

Y meq/100g = ( ( equivalent weight x Y ) / 0.1 ) ppm

Y meq/100g = ( ( equivalent weight x 10 x Y ) ) ppm

Percent ( mass/volume) = ( mass of solute in grams / volume of solution in millilitre) x 100

Dilution factor ( no unit ) = volume of extracting solution / mass of the soil

Dilution factor = final volume / initial volume.

Total dilution factor of dilution that occurs two times = first dilution factor x second dilution factor
